Finding Your Soul's Purpose

EXERCISE The next time a challenge falls upon you, take a time out. Stop what you are doing, and give yourself the freedom to be present with what is happening. Nothing is more important than freeing yourself from the stuckness or pain. Take a time out. FEEL what is happening. (If you need to remove yourself from a situation or person, do so. Whatever it takes to honor yourself is of utmost importance.) Be with the feeling. Breathe into it. Allow for its expansion. It is usually the dark feelings that give us trouble because we do not want to acknowledge our own darkness. Just remember, it is okay. We all have our hidden places within us where we want to hide. Just remember, we are only as dark as our secrets. Allow yourself whatever time is needed to feel what is happening for you. Breathe into the feeling. Keep going into it. Allow the energy to move through your body in whatever way it desires. Maybe you want to cry or you might need to yell, or hit something. Just be careful to take care of your body when moving anger, and use a pillow or something soft for you to vent your anger into. NEVER HIT, OR STRIKE OUT AT SOMEONE DEAR TO YOU. IT IS NEVER A WINNING SITUATION. Once you feel complete with your expression, allow yourself a few moments to receive the changes you have just allowed. Take some time to be quiet and just sit in silence. What are you creating with your thoughts, words,and actions? Do you like the picture? If not, it is up to you to change it. Remember, it is a journey of spiritual development. Love yourself along the way, and do not take any of this work too seriously. We are here to enjoy ourselves.
