Finding Your Soul's Purpose

Finding Your Soul's Purpose
Just Imagine if you could have everything you ever wanted!! You wake up in morning feeling excited about the day,
wondering what might unfold before you. The song of a morning bird fills the air, as you lie in bed feeling inner peace while your heartfelt love welcomes the opportunity to experience another day? Your enthusiasm builds as you
think about the lives you may touch throughout this day.

Does it seem like a dream?
Is it possible to live in this beautiful place? Can we really have it all? Of course we can. We only need to believe it, to achieve it. We create our reality every day
with various thoughts, words, actions,
and the decisions we make. If we want to live with greater joy, helpful people, inner peace, feeling a sense of accomplishment with our lives, let us use daily positive thoughts. It is up to each of us to find a way to do this.

The challenge remains the external world we have created.
There is so much negativity in the world, it is difficult to see a bright picture. Everyday we live with the mass destruction of a planet filled with hate crimes, disease, wars, and teenage suicide. Are we ready to take responsibility for what we have created? Can we stop pointing the finger at the other person and practice meditation?

Are we ready to see what role each of us playing in creating this reality?

As we practice meditation, we can find our soul's purpose.
The external world is here as a reflection back to ourselves.

Let us see the whole world as a stage.
Each of us is a character in a movie set. The stage is dark and dismal filled with fear. Many of the characters are unhappy, feeling hopeless and empty with nothing left to share with their family at the end of the day. Instead they spent the day sitting in traffic,
or possibly having spent their time and energy on a customer that decided to take their business elsewhere. Some of them have had a disagreement with their boss or co-worker feeling misunderstood.
Others know they are living a lie and can’t take another day of work
but live in fear of not being able to support their families or themselves
so they stick it out, for just one more day, in hope that the situation may change.

In the village there are a few people who are different. They dance to their own song and seem to be different than the rest.
Many of the village people laugh at them making fun of their differences.
It does not seem to bother these people for they seem quite content in their own world. They see the beauty of the world and are eternally optimistic
spreading a bit of divine light and hope to the people around them. They don’t care whether it is received or not. They just continue to shine their divine light as it feed them more than not.

Day after day, as the movie unfolds we realize that most of the people move around like blind sheep, following the familiar game of distraction, caught up in the dramas or emotional wounds of their own past or that of others. Spiritual deprivation has become a plague as the people continue to chase the golden rainbow, feeling exhausted at the end of the day.

The movie continues on and on with many people dying from the plague until one day, one of the town leaders decides to have lunch with the E.O.O.’s (Eternally Optimistic Ones). He has such a great day, filled with laughter and joy that he begins to tell others about this group. And slowly the people decide to look at the E.O.O.’s differently and listen to what they have to say. The E.O.O.’S decide to hold weekly gatherings, talking to the people, sharing stories, laughter, and food by the fire. More and more people are waking up as they realize their own ability to look at life with a different perspective using positive thoughts and divine light.

It is a day of great awakening when the plague of destruction no longer fills a need. The yearning to know oneself is no longer a yearning and becomes what is. One by one the people of the village shift their focus from outside and practice meditation.
Each of them starts to heal their emotional wounds, forgiving the past trauma and begin to feel gratitude
for all life experiences for bringing them to this awareness. The more they look within themselves,
the brighter their divine light becomes and it spreads like wild fire
across the village and the divine light becomes so bright that other villages are drawn to the divine light.
People start coming from the outer lying areas, wanting to know, to feel, and to touch
the brightness. It becomes the new plague;
the plague of divine light and the people finally realize the pot of gold has always been within them.

This short story is about finding your soul’s purpose.
When we realize that we have it all within ourselves, we are living on purpose.
Our spiritual healing comes from the inward journey.
As we heal ourselves, taking responsibility for our lives,
we peel away the layers of hurt and find the seed of who we are,
and what we are here to do. It is not about being a big world leader, very wealthy, or a famous movie star, but rather,
listening to our heart and living from this place. Let us realize the true commodity
is not the almighty dollar
but rather the wealth of inner peace, joy, and love.
This is living our soul's purpose, doing what we came here to do,
to love and be loved.
The rest of it is the journey of knowing this place.
